NOV 2008 | OLYMPUS WORLDWIDE IS FINALIST FOR LIMOUSINE DIGEST’S OPERATOR OF THE YEAR

 

Olympus Worldwide President, Johan DeLeeuw was honored by Limousine Digest Magazine on October 20th in Atlantic City as a finalist for their 2008 Operator of the Year award.

 

According to the magazine, there are more than 15,000 luxury limousine companies operating in North America. More than a hundred nominations were received for the award, with Johan and Olympus selected as one of three finalists. The winner of the award was a friend and colleague of Johan’s, Mike Zappone of The All Transportation Network in Newburgh, NY.

 

The selection committee was impressed with Olympus Worldwide’s quality of service, employee-friendly atmosphere, involvement in the community, and the company’s “green initiative”. Limousine Digest Publisher Chris Weiss said, “Johan is clearly a rising star in our industry. He is a very bright, forward thinking entrepreneur and we feel fortunate that our industry has attracted a person of Johan’s caliber.”

Johan was honored by the nomination and positive attention he has received from his peers. “I have met a number of outstanding limousine operators as a result of this nomination. Our industry is really quite small and it has been amazing to see the positive reaction from my peers around the world.”

 

Olympus Worldwide was recognized at the Limousine Digest Industry Awards dinner with more than 400 limousine operators from 33 states and representing 16 foreign countries.
