NOV 2008 | JOHAN IS FEATURED SPEAKER AT INDUSTRY TRADE SHOW

 

Johan DeLeeuw was a featured speaker at the 2008 Limousine Digest trade show. The topic, Gain Green by Going Green was a lively discussion with Johan representing limousine operators who are actively reducing their company’s carbon foot print.

 

The session was well attended with more than 300 limousine operators present. Johan explained that “Olympus Worldwide’s commitment to reducing our carbon footprint has led us to be a founding member of the Limousine Environmental Partnership (LEAP). LEAP's philosophy is simple: Reduce Renew and Offset.”

 

Johan outlined Olympus’s program, “We have 5 specific initiatives in our green program. They are:

1. Emissions Goal Setting (in conjunction with the EPA)
2. Integration of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reduction Strategies
3. 100% Carbon Offsetting
4. Voluntary Reporting to the EPA
5. Use of FlexFuel vehicles

 

The session in Atlantic City was well received with attendees enthused by Johan’s comments. Bruce Heinrich of LEADER Limousine in Kansas City said, “I really admire Johan’s commitment to a “green company”. He is doing a great job for all the right reasons.”
